My creative energy is fuelled by several things: by keen curiosity…. what happens if I try this?;  by the beauty revealed to me every day in the living things that surround me; by the value I place on truly functional design; and, by a Celtic spirituality in my life and work.  This approach results in life and work that is whole, rhythmic, open to possibilities and blessed.

Carvings emerge on my wheel-thrown pots as if they lay sleeping in the clay, waiting to be coaxed out.  I glaze with high quality colours named sea, moss, amber, earth, cream and plum that complete the organic nature of my pieces and combine together to recall the Celtic seasons and solstices.  I aim to create pottery that brings beauty to everyday life with strong emphasis on form and function. Drop by for a visit - my studio is open year-round by chance or by appointment.
